Yesterday we met Jean “Woodly” Dormeus. Woodly was born in Limbe Haiti but also have lived, and gone to college in the US for both his bachelors and masters degree. He returned to Haiti for a while at one point and taught at the university there but felt he was not doing what God was calling him to do. He returned for a while to the US where he went back to school. He was searching for what it was God was calling him. There he was introduced to CHE (Community Health Education) and LifeWind and so began a new direction for him. Woodly now works for LifeWind and attended a LifeWind Conference that was held in the Philippians. While there he met his wife, Anne. She is from Finland and they both now live and work for lifewind in the Dominican Republic where they have 2 children, Jed who is 2 and Rebecca who is a few months old. Woodly and Anne are using the CHE strategy to build wholistic communities in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, and Jamaica.
